One of the most widely used metal cutting processing methods is turning. Turning process is based on such a principle, and is perfomed on special machines.
Turning - is a process of cutting an extra metal layer from a metal blank to obtain details of required shape, texture and size. Turning works carried out on machine tools, which are called lathes.
main types of the work that are performed on lathes: processing of cylindrical, conical, shaped, end surfaces and edges; cut portions of blank; groove sharpening; threading; processing holes boring, drilling, deployment. Lathing mainly shafts, pulleys, gears, couplings, rings, nuts and so on. PJSC "Ukrenergoremont" uses professional turning equipment: manually controlled machines, CNC lathes, CNC machining centres CTX310V3 - DMG Germany, precision with option for cast iron handling; NEF400 DMG Germany; NEF600 DMG Germany.
In relation to the technology and principle of work on lathes, processing of metal on them is performed with help of cutting tools (drills, reamers, dies, cutting tools and other things). Cutting into lais performed by rotating blank and cutting edge of linear motion.
Movement can be longitudinal and transverse. The processing is permormed at a lain a semiautomatic mode.
With help of turning works it’s possible accurately manufacture gears, rings, shafts, bushings, pulleys, couplings and many other parts of rotation.
